new and fabulous

When I open the kiln door and see the fruits of my labor -- the hours and hours of careful preparation all become worth it. I love the way this one came together, the white and red are raised from the black, creating interesting terrain.

endless rain

The endless rain is relentlessly falling. It's not cold, it's just wet. The roads are flooded and getting around is more frustrating than normal. I tried to go to a thing, and got lost instead through flooded streets, and a few wrong turns and decided to come home after touring an unknown portion of North Portland. It's time for some awesome tv. Chuck (a new guilty pleasure) and Heroes (because you just have to).

Something new: bracelets.

snow & lots of rain

They predicted snow here in portland, or. For once they were right, and it actually snowed, if only for a little bit. Otherwise, it's rain, rain and more rain. I actually like the rain because it keeps me inside and working!

This is my new favorite pendant...double click it to see the larger version.
